Waiting for COPR (EE) can I take parental leave?

Hi

I have applied for express entry and got AOR (Early Nove 2022)
and submitted the additional requested document (Singapore COC) (Dec 2022)
I am waiting for COPR.

Can I take parental leave?
Because my baby is due in Feb and I need to support my wife to take care of the newborn.

I am wondering if taking parental leave impacts my application.

Any comment will be really appreciated.

Parental leave is total fine, however for the baby, once it’s born make sure you update your application to include the most up-to-date family information (using the web form)

As the baby will be Canadian I thought it is not necessary.
