I have applied for masters program in mechanical engineering for jan 2014 .. it's been 2 months and still the status shown on carleton central is preliminary review required.. can anyone plz tell that how much time this uni will take to make decision...

Carleton sucks. . I applied for Fall 13 and waited for 3 months.
Was expecting admit from it. Saw many profiles of lesser standards got admitted.
I Got rejected.
Course- MS CS.
My friend applied 3 weeks before me and still hasn't received the decision. Although he went to US
Another friend applied in it. Got rejected. He got admit from Simon Fraser, far better Univ than Carleton.
Don't want to demotivate you my friend. But just want to suggest that be ready with the alternative as well.
But if ur SOP and LORs and UG% are good. You can have the chance.
