Waiting for Asylum in USA, Can I apply PR in Canada

Hi Members,
I have filed asylum in USA after coming to USA on a tourist visa in 2013 and waiting for its, approval which may take several years.
But, I have the required points to apply for PR in Canada as per the minimum cut off in the last draw.
Am I eligible to apply PR in Canada or my asylum case in USA will impact my application ?
I will be thankful for your guidance.

Your asylum should have no effect as long as you are honest about it in your application and you meet the eligibility criteria to apply for PR. Good luck!

As far as I know, you need to be in legal status to apply for PR. Consult an attorney.
