hello
we have been approved for applying for permenant residence frm within canada at the end of June 2009...and in Sep 2009 weve been asked through a letter to bring police certificates and finger prints, etc. and i was wondering if anyone here has gone through a similar case or knew how long will it take for them to call us for an interview for the PR?? because one of the immigration speaker on the phone advised that this will take no more than 4 monthes max...does anyone here knows anything about this??

Thank you

hello,
times can really vary. it can take from a month up to a few months.

Each case is different but in mine, they waived the interview and i didnt have to go... just wait and see, if there isnt a problem up to now, then there shouldnt be any problems going forward. good luck

thank you. but what do u mean they waived the interview? how did you get your permenant resident card?

I am in a similar situation they approved me to apply inland and asked me to send in FBI and RCMP checks etc and the $490 for right of permanent residency but since then I have not heard anything......
