Wait time to receive the PRTD

Hi All,

I have submitted my passport for PRTD on 7th June 2018 and i had mentioned the tentative travel date as 1st August 2018.
I suffice to Residency obligation. My concern is I may have to travel before the tentative date I had mentioned. Can someone please help me as to what i can do to expedite the process since i have already submitted my passport at the Mumbai office.

You can contact the embassy but there is usually no expedited processing and they will process applications as soon as possible for everyone. No hurt in trying but they shouldn't be delaying your previous request because of your desired travel dates.

I’m a little worried as earlier I had read on the forum that for few people they did not receive the PRTD for months. Also, those who submitted in Bangalore/Chennai got it in 12-15 working days.

This doesn't apply to new PRs - only those who have been PRs for a number of years.

Hi did you return to Canada with your PRTD ? Can you tell me if the immigration process was the same as the first landing? Or do u get in the queue for PR?

You are already PR so no not the same procedure as when you landed.
