W-1 Canada visa transfer to new employer

Hi Team,

I am on H1-B visa in USA and also received my W-1 visa Multiple entries from current employer. But now my current employer put hold on my Canada position till next project assignment opening.

Can i apply any new job with my current W-1 visa and get transferred to new employer and start working in Canada ?

I never did port entry in canada and my current visa expiring on 01-Mar-2021.

The work permit you hold is tied to your current employer. You cannot transfer this work permit to a different employer.

If you want to work for a different employer in Canada, you'll need to secure a job offer and the employer will need to obtain an approved LMIA. You can then apply for a new work permit tied to the new employer.
