Hi,

I have decided to voluntarily give up my PR card.
My card is valid for a year, I will be going to canada next month for a short visit.
Should I give up my PR card in Canada? Or in the Canadian embassy in my home country?

Thanks,

Why do you want to give up? How long did you stay in Canada?

I stayed in canada for only 6 months.
I only have one year validity in my PR card.
Will I be allowed entry?

your PR card expires but your PR status does not unless you renounce or you are flagged for not meeting residency. As a PR you have the right to enter Canada but given you have seems not met residency you may get reported after entry. Personally i would not renounce voluntarily unless you really need to as who knows what the future holds but as the card still valid you should have issues entering the country.
