Hello,
I landed in canada as an international student and my work permit has expired in July 2015, inrelated to that i had applied for visitor visa which has got rejected.I have now about 90 days to apply for my restoration visa from end of november 2015 which would finish by Mid March 2016.
My employer is also working on the LMIA application which is still on its way and has to submit it yet to service canada. Can I write to CIC stating that my employer is attaining an LMIA in order to increase my restoration period days?? Or will i still have time to go to the border with copy of positive LMIA to collect my work permit??
Please help..
Thanks.

Neither of these is an option.

You cannot extend the restoration period. It is 90 days.

You cannot go to the border with a positive LMIA to obtain a work permit. You can only do this if you have valid status in Canada and a valid multiple entry TRV.

Thank you for your kind response in replying to my query.
Do you know of any option of how I could apply work permit with positive LMIA and no status. Would i be able yo apply from Indian embassy here in Canada.
Or any option in you got to suggest me??
