That seems like a good amount depending on the length of your stay. Even if you aren't common law you can still list someone to help you financially. I did this on my first extension application. I had some money of my own but I still stated that my b/f was financially responsible for me. I asked for 8 months my first extension. I had $2000USD at the time and included all the documents to show that he would be able to pay for my stay.

When you scan your documents you will need to scan as multiple pages but for one file. It should give you the option to scan a page and add more pages to scan. You need to open the scanner from the computer and scan from there.

I hope this will help you!!

Thank you Tracey my friend is going to write a letter stating hes my guarantor etch

Yes, my first extension was approved for 8 months. At that time I also had a return ticket.

My most recent extension application is still in process. I applied in the beginning of January. This time I didn't list that I had any funds, but we are common law & I have my PR in process. I didn't have a return ticket this time, but I think it will be okay. I asked for a year just in case. I sent all the same financials that I sent in my PR application. Still just waiting for both applications.
