If it is not marked as optional then it is mandatory.

There is a section in the application to upload "Financials". You would need to upload anything to show proof of funds, proof of employment, paystubs or if a partner/spouse is financially responsible, then a letter stating this often is helpful. They want to see that either the applicant or the partner/spouse is financially responsible for the extension of stay.

this will give you a checklist. Once the checklist is ready then you can gather the documents.

If done online you can upload them in the corresponding slots, if done on paper all forms should be included in one package.

My parents have entered Canada on a visitor visa (6 months validity).

Can I apply for a 1 year extension while they are in Canada (supervisa) or I have to apply for a regular visitor extension (6 months)

There is no such thing as a "regular visitor extension".

Apply for as much time you need and can prove can afford. CIC will then assess the validity of your petition.

I stated that the purpose is to vist friend famiy etc, for the friend I will be stating with should I include his pay slip etc although I will be proofing funds for my stay?

If the sponsor claims that he is supporting you then he has to prove it. Usually a snapshot from their bank accounts is more than enough. You may or may not need payslips depending on your case.

Also where it states current employment, my last job was aug 2015 would that be current.

Deposit or cash a paystub should be available, include them.

If that was your latest job then yes. Nonetheless you would now be unemployed.

You need the statement for at least the last 3 months showing the needed fonds.

Ok.@Jaylex23... I have a hard copy of the form, I realize it automatically has canada for country of residence my status would be visitor. There is other and a from to date. Im assuming I should leave the from to date blank, as I understand its directed to if selected other status option am I correct in leaving it blank?

I am wondering about this bank statement thing now...

I am applying visitor extension too but I was started to wonder, my bank statement is not in english... could that possibly be a problem or do they just want to see how much there is money stated? I guess numbers are the thing that matter.
