I am in Canada on a visitor's Visa from Jamaica and want to apply for a Study Permit. My question is can I do it from within Canada or do I have to leave?

If I leave, can it be to the United States temporary or do I have to go back and apply from Jamaica?

I really appreciate your feedback.

Thank you.

Since you are a visitor, your application cannot be processed within Canada. It has to be sent to a visa office outside of Canada (either your home country or the US). To have the highest chance of approval, it would be best if you flew home and applied from there.

Thank you so much for your response. I really appreciate it.

I have no where to stay in the united states but thought I could leave and apply and return to Canada for the rest of my stay as a visitor while waiting for the application to be processed.

Why do you think I would have a better chance (or best) if I leave and go back home to apply?

Thank you again.
