Hi,

What are my options to change my Visitors visa to work visa?

I had a interview and I will be getting that job.

Thanks for your time and suggestions.

1. Employer has to advertise the job on the job bank and other means for 4 weeks. Then the employer can apply for a LMIA to ESDC and demonstrate why no Canadians/PRs are qualified. The LMIA takes anywhere from 6-16 weeks to process. If it is approved, then you can apply at Port of Entry, if you don't require a TRV or medical, otherwise you have to apply at an overseas office.

LMIA, you say, not sure how easy that would be.
Well you really don't have any other choice, unless you are eligible for an International Experience Canada open work permit.

I am in the States now and working will that help!
OP = original poster = you.

No - the fact you are working in the US makes no difference. If you want to apply for a work permit in Canada you need both a job offer from a Canadian employer AND an approved LMIA.

umm, guess there is no way out then. I can come to Canada and apply for job here and once I get a job I can leave the country and apply for a work permit, Is it possible like that and does it sound realistic ?

Hi I'm in a similar situation. I've worked in canaa and have been offered a job as a LIC. My employer has a positive LMIA. However I'm on a visitor visa now and in canada. I canny apply for a work permit for within canada it has to be done through my country of nationality (uk). My problem is my address I currently in Canada is this going to be a problem as the form is for a work permit from outside canda. I used the come to canada wizef and I put uk as my current residence it will let me apply online. I'm really confuse as to how to go about this I don't leave canada until January next year and was hoping to avoid having to fly back to the uk by getting the permit before but now in wondering if I need to go back to the uk to do the form or can I just use my parent address in thee unfortunately the form? (It's where I would be staying). So confused any help would be great.
