hello, I need some guidance on what is needed if I am trying to sponsor someone coming from Munich, Germany to Winnipeg. All replies are appreciated
Thank you

They have a travel document and travel document for foreigners (which is a passport) they would only be coming as a visitor. Not for business or school just for my sisters wedding it’s for my uncle and aunt with her 3 kids that I have not seen in about 12 years.

So what is there status in Germany?

As with any visitor, the chance of success will depend on the strength of the application. You are not actually sponsoring them, just providing a letter of support and invitation. They will still need to provide proof they have sufficient finances, ties to the country of residence and strong evidence they will return.

They are not 100% citizens but my aunt and uncle they have id cards and forigein passports but the 3 kids are citizens. Are the same as if you have a PR card in canada but not citizenship! Does that make sense?
they have jobs and homes there, my aunts kids are born there, my aunts husband is a manager at a resturant! They have bank accounts and go to school as well!
Do you think that they should apply as visitors or just eTA??

The kids should be able to apply for eTA’s if they have German passports. What passports do the parents hold? If they are from a visa waiver country, they can apply for an eTA as well. Otherwise they will need a TRV. Keep the requested time to about 2-3 weeks maximum.

They both have travel document for foriegners (it has a white cover) basically a passport and it also comes with a travel document card! They are from munich germany! Do they need a Temporary Visitor Visa or eTA?
