Hi there,

Hope all is well.

I have 2 questions.

My wife is in Australia and she is a permanent resident there now. Her status was as a bridging visa as she went there from Pakistan. I recently got married to her in Australia and submitted the spousal application. Step 1 is now cleared. For step 2, CIC has sent it UK visa office instead Australia.

My first question is about the current process time, and as what category will CIC officer see my application; as in website it says 11 months for Australia visa office and 28 months for UK visa office for the last year's 80% of average cases.

My second question is that if it will take around 28 months, can I apply for visitor's visa for my wife.

Your answers are much appreciated.

Thanks!

Kind regards,

Its very hard to get a TRV once you are married, and you need to show strong ties that she will return to her country. I was denied 3 times and each time they gave different excuses, one being that hubby didn't have enough money (had proof of having $250,000). Then a friends family member who works for immigration said don't even bother if you're married, it wont happen. But everyone situations are different so you can try
