Visitor & workpermit extension

Hi There

I have a PGWP which expires in august, but I have a plans to visit India for 5 weeks in May and will be back on June 2 weeks.Currently I work in Canada with RBC. So my question is that can I apply for the visitor visa for the reentry and also work permit extension at the same time?

Could some one please advise me ?

You can't extend a PGWP.

You mean to say I cannot apply for a open workpermit also ?

You would need an LMIA.
