Hi Everyone,

I'll keep it short. It is been 8 months since we started this process, 5 since our file was transferred to Port-au-Prince (Haiti VO).
The last time I heard from them (last month), I sent an email asking for updates and they told me that they were processing applications from April 2016. So, we are thinking about applying for a visitor visa while the PR is in-process.

Has any of you tried going that route before?

any information is welcome.

Thanks

Technically you can do that, and i have heard people who were in same situation
with you have successfully got it before. But I think you have to be honest about
your situation and you have to prove that you will definately go back to your
resident country after your visit.

For me I got my multi-entry tourist visit which is still valid from my last visit to canada. Can I still travel to canada with this visa after my submission of PR app? Will they reject me to enter the country at the custom for any reason??

Thank you very much for your kind reply.
I guess I will just write a very honest letter to explain my situation. Proving my ties to my home country.

I think that you can travel to Canada up to 6 months (longer if you apply for extension), as long as your multi-entry visa is valid. There are a lot of reasons custom might deny entry but I don't think that they would deny you entry just because you applied for PR... Just my thought.

I hope thats the case. me and my husband are doing this application ourselves. It is so hard and traumatizing. We have to think and think how to prove that we are a real couple and explain any possible details about the `abnormal parts` pf our relationship. I feel like couples who are able to finish the preparation themselves and still together,it has to be true love lmao
