visitor visa update and timeline from India. It's already over a month

Hi

I have submitted online application for visitor's visa for my parents from India.

Online application submission date : May 30, 2016

Application status is still "Open". It has been more than a month. As per Cic, processing time from india is approx. 24 days.
can someone advise me if it needs more wait or is there any way I can check with visa office?
I also won't know which visa office will process the my online applications. Our corressp addres is delhi while passports are from Himachal Pradesh.

Can anyone help me by their experience?

Hi,

Processing times posted on the CIC website are only estimates. Actual processing can be faster or take longer.

Online applications can be processed anywhere in CIC's global visa office network. So it may not be NDVO. I suggest you wait for a few more days

Thanks . wait seems so hopeless ??? ???. do you suggest that i submit another application from inside Canada as their processing times are 8-9 days. I wasn't aware of this before so ended up with requesting from outside canada. We had submitted our request on 31st May.

No, you cannot apply for TRVs for your parents from within Canada

I'm still waiting for the TRV for my parents. They applied on 10 June 2016, still no action on the application.

applied on - 16th may - paper application
Medical request - 20th May
Medical exam - 30th may
medical sent - 4th July ,
no passport call yet .
any idea ?
