Have you ever tried contacting consulate office over phone? I remember I read somewhere that if we call them in the morning around 8 AM or in the evening when the office closes, there might be a chance to speak to a person.

I think I spoke once, and she said she wont give any information over the phone regarding immigration.

37 days have passed since I applied for TRV and still waiting. I am also subject to mandatory wait period.

Hi Folks,

Here is the agonzing story of my wife

She applied for her temporary resident visa on 10th April 2012 at the Detroit Temporary Visa Processing center. During the processing of her Visa, she was asked to provide (On May 7th) her immigration medical test results. We provided the test documents (on May 15th). It should have reached them within 28 th of May. Now, its been over 50 days since medical test documents had arrived at Ottowa, but have not got any updates.

She queried them via email several times, and today she heard back from them:

Sir/Madam,
The results of your medical examination are in and your case is curently under review. Your file number is V**********.
Regards,

We have our air tickets confirmed for August 15th. Hope we will be able to get it before that date.

Hey Guys, I just received my passport today, July 20th, with TRV approved. It took around 35 days for the approval, I had sent my application on June15th. Good Luck! to others waiting for their passport.

Oh man!! I sent in mine on 20th June, I thought that was long enough..Does anyone know can get a refund of the money order if I cancel my visa application now? I'm in distress, I need my passport back to fly in 1 week time, I don't care about getting the visa anymore, I just need my passport back now to fly. Can the embassy send my passport back now if I cancel the application?

The phone number provided by the embassy is not picked up by anyone! Is forever answered by answering machine.
