Visitor visa requirements - no bank records, no employment

My wife and I want to try for a visitor visa for her. We are in stage 2 of PR process. We want to be together while we wait for the stamp from her embassy. She lives with her parents and volunteers and doesn't have income. When she comes here, she will depend completely on me. With no bank statements and proof of work, is this a problem that make it impossible to get a trv? We are hoping by telling them we don't want to jeopardize our PR application that they will give us the trv. Any thoughts?

It is very very unlikely for her to receive a TRV. There is no strong ties to her country. But you won't lose anything except for the application fee if you try. I don't understand what you meant by "we don't want to jeopardize our PR application". Trying a TRV will not jeopardize your PR application.

He means they will include a letter with the TRV application stating that they have applied for a PR visa, and so they will be sure to comply with the TRV regulations. That is, she will leave Canada once her TRV is over, since she does not want to jeopardize her PR visa application.

Some forum members have managed to get a TRV under these circumstances, so it is worth a try.

True.. No harm in trying.. You will only lose the processing fee..

But mind you, will leave a record of application refusal on her file, so you must declare whenever you will be asked in the future.
