Hi everyone, i am from Trinidad & Tobago, that is in the caribbean. My spouse and I have been rejected twice for our visitor visa, the reason for the first refusal was assets and invitation letter. I got everything and now we went back and these are the reasons for refusal;
* host's income and assets ( i submitted invitation letter, canadian citizenship, where employed for length of time)
* my sufficient funds including assets or income to maintain ourselves.( i submitted bank statements)
* travel history( i have travelled to 5 caribbean countries within 2 years and did not exceed a week in those countries)
* family ties in canada or country of residence( my host is my aunt from canada, and my parents info are on the application form)
* purpose of visit( i stated it was family visit, vacation)
* current employment status( i submitted job letter)
* personal assets and financial status
We have our own business and have submitted business assets, business registration, land deed, car document, even my letter where i am studying. I don't understand the reason for our refusal. Our length of stay is 14 days. What can we do to get our visa.

You have to submit a brand new application following the same process as you did when you applied before. Yes - you have to pay the fees again.

Thanks for the reply....so is that mean if Visa is refused immediately I have to request the visa officer notes, is that wouldn't be same note as refusal letter ?
and how to request that notes, via email or any form ?

it's not mandatory to apply for the visa officer's notes.

If you believe you have a solid application (and if you can overcome the refusal reasons), it might not be necessary to obtain these GCMS notes.

If you would like to know the detailed observations made by the visa officer (not just the refusal reasons).... and why s/he concluded that you should be refused then do order GCMS notes

- Detailed observation ? hmmm not 100% accurate , in my person file they noted i work for a BANK when i never did or produce any such documents , in my niece's notes they note a SINGLE trip to country X and Single trip to county Y ( which she never travelled to) . I wrote the head of consular affairs and the high commissioner outlining this discrepancies. Interestingly after another application was made an approve , i request notes again, this time the english was perfect and well documented.

In nearly all cases, GCMS do provide accurate observations noted by the visa officer, processing history, etc.

But visa officers are human and they could make mistakes.... as is evident from your niece's case. You were able to figure this out thanks to the case notes
