Visitor Visa- Multiple Entry- US visits

Dear VIP members,
Please help! My parents came from India on a multiple entry 10 year visitors visa to help me watch my daughter while i was in school. Their original validity date was in February 2013 i.e. 6 months starting August 2012. However, during December, they went to US to visit my sister for 1 month since my school was closed.

I want my parents to stay until May 2013 until i graduate. Will the US visit count as them leaving the country and will they be eligible for a re-entry for 6 months or do i have to file for an extension? Kindly help me solve this dilemma. Thanks

What happened when they re-entered Canada? Were their passports stamped with a new entry date? If so, then they have another six months since they last entered Canada. If not, then their six months from their original entry in August.

Dear Scylla,
Thanks for the e-mail. They have not entered yet. I will go and bring them next week! Is it possible that we request another 6 months or will the previous date will be held good? Kindly let me know. Thanks again!!
