Applied for my mom and father in law in April 7th. Still under process.... my father in law already passed away... they still processing.... hate them!

I applied for my father and mother in law's visitor visa last year 23-June-2022 from Oman. Biometric completed on 29-June-22.
Initially the processing time was 110 days. Every week the processing time kept of increasing and now it has reached 315 days. Waiting since then

Finally after more than 9 month got PPR.My father and minor sister applied visit visa and they have 3 years passport expiry date.But in passport request letter they said they won’t issuing visa beyond the passport expiry date. My sister is going to 18 after 3 year so no chance of getting another visit visa in future for her so we would like to get this visa for full 5 years.so she can come later sometime as well.Now wondering if I can renew passport urgently with 3 years expiry old passport and submit the new passport with the old passport and let IRCC know via web from that we are submitting new passport. Is there gonna be any issues? Or what should I say in my web form about new passport?Any advice will be appreciated

Finally after more than 9 month got PPR.My father and minor sister applied visit visa and they have 3 years passport expiry date.But in passport request letter they said they won’t issuing visa beyond the passport expiry date. My sister is going to 18 after 3 year so no chance of getting another visit visa in future for her so we would like to get this visa for full 5 years.so she can come later sometime as well.Now wondering if I can renew passport urgently with 3 years expiry old passport and submit the new passport with the old passport and let IRCC know via web from that we are submitting new passport. In the documents section, I find the no document asked for
1) Letter Of Invitation
2) Proof Of Funds
I am curious to know if this is expected when applying for second time or I made some mistake in the application
It will very helpful if anyone can clarify on this

Hi @Rainbow777 - I have some good news to share. After a long wait, my brother's visa has been approved now; it took almost 11 months to get through this from the time of submitting the application. Please do not lose hope.
