Oh yeah congratulations! I saw that you got it on another thread. You've also waited far too long! Finally it paid off right?! :)
Yeah Some countries like UK process it within 6 to 9 days and some countries like Saudi Arabia take 225 days! What a spectrum!
But I guess everyone here in this thread have applied from India. So.. 147 days it is now.
Not necessarily. UK is overwhelmed with Ukraine applications apparently. Though it says 9 days I (and others) have been waiting since mid-april

Nope. I applied on 17 March.
My review started on 3 Aug. Nothing after that.
How do u know that your review started on Aug 3? Where do I check this ?

Since the date of application the status is same for me.

Background check: We are processing your background check. We will send you a message if we need more information.
Final decision: Your application is in progress. We will send you a message once the final decision has been made.

I don't see a progress bar on my application as well.

Hi,
My wife and kids applied for their visa from India on 15th March. I am in Canada with closed work permit. I have sent multiple webforms as well, got generic reply for few of them. Just waiting now.

Hey. We get to know that our review started by looking at the Review of Eligibility bullet point.

Earlier it said: Your application is in progress. We will send you a message when we start reviewing your eligibility.

On Aug 3 I received a message saying IRCC needs a copy of my valid travel document.

Now it says: We are reviewing whether you meet the eligibility requirements.

So that's how I came to know.
