I have applied for a (Temporary Resident Visa - TRV) from Dubai, UAE

Application Submitted: June 3, 2025
Biometric Letter Received: June 4, 2025
Biometric Submitted at VFS: June 9, 2025
Biometrics Completed: July 10, 2025.

Since then and up to date, it's just showing: We are processing your background check.

Anyone had a same experience of delay and what is the next step and when its expected knowing that when I start processing my application, Processing time estimation was showing 35 days and kept on increasing. Today its showing: 57 days while is currently taking more than: 78 days

If in background check then eligiblity hasn't even started. This is when an officer reviews your file. Background check can take longer depending on your citizenship and countries lived in as IRCC waits for immigration/security information from those countries. Nothing to do.

Processing times based on previous processing times but also often wrong if manyo review is involved. Would suggest comparing to others applying via the UAE (citizenship also may impact processing time since many are not UAE citizens) to get a better idea of actual processing times.

Processing times are also dependent on location of processing.

Oh without a doubt, but knowing what passport someone holds adds a lot more depth when you're looking out for cases that you can compare yours to.

Not far past processing times which are an estimate. Depending on citizenship and countries lived in then security and immigration checks can take some time. Hopefully you will get response soon.

My friend had applied for the visitor visa application on 28 June from Dubai. No progress has happened yet. He is a Indian citizen though.

There will have been some if they are identified as strong applicants by AI. If manual processing is required then it can take months depending on the file. Typically either you get approval within a month or it takes many months to process. Country of citizenship and where you are currently residing also have an influence on processing time. Dubai is a large processing hub so tough to compare to all other Dubai applicants.

I currently work with Royal Rider Bus Rental Dubai, a transportation company providing buses, minibuses, and group transportation services in Dubai and across the UAE.

We are exploring the possibility of expanding the business internationally, and Canada is one of the markets we are interested in. Rather than simply opening a website in Canada, we would like to understand the practical requirements for establishing and operating a bus rental business there.

I would appreciate advice from anyone familiar with the Canadian transportation or business environment.

Some of the things I’m trying to understand are:

• What type of company registration would be required?
• Are there different requirements depending on the province?
• What licenses or permits are required to operate passenger buses commercially?
• Are there specific insurance requirements for commercial passenger transportation?
• Would a foreign company normally establish a Canadian corporation or work through a local partner?
• Are there additional requirements for hiring professional bus drivers?
• How complicated is it to purchase or import buses for commercial use?
• What are the major differences between operating a bus rental business in Canada and the UAE?
• Would it make more sense to start with charter services, airport transportation, corporate transportation, or another segment?

We are still at the research stage, so I'm particularly interested in hearing from Canadian business owners, transportation operators, immigration/business consultants, or anyone who has experience expanding an overseas company into Canada.

Any practical advice about the first steps, provincial differences, approximate setup requirements, or common challenges would be greatly appreciated.
