Hi Friends,

A very good evening to you all..

I have a question for you all. Is it possible for me to apply for [glow=red,2,300]Visitor Visa[/glow] for my wife while her application is in progress in New Delhi.. I sponsored my wife in month of December 2012. If, so how should I proceed and what do I or her need to do.... Also, what are the chances of getting her Visitor Visa.. Does it affect her file which is in progress currently?

PLEASE HELP!

Thanks,
Varun

Hey,

You can apply for a visitor visa, but most likely it will be denied, unless you can prove that your wife has some very strong links to her country (work, house, children maybe etc), as CIC will not believe that she will return to India once her visa is expired.
You can always try, it doesn't affect her file in New Delhi ( even if she gets denied). It's best to wait until you have at least first stage approval ( but since you say that your file is in ND already, I believe it's done), and make sure that you state in your application that she doesn't want to put her PR application in jeopardy by overstaying, and she will comply with the terms of her visa etc. If you can convince CIC that she will return at the end of her visa, then she might get it. Otherwise she will be denied.. but if you're willing to give it a try, go ahead.
Good luck,
