Hi there,

My father & mother in law are planning to visit us here. They are submitting their IT returns & property documents. I have sent a general invite letter & they are writing a cover letter mentioning that they can take of their expenses. Anyways I've sent my employment letter & bank statements .Should they also get their cover letter notarized. Also please advise me whether they should provide Affidavit of Support.

Early reply would be appreciated

Thanks & Regards,
Prakash Shankar

They don't need to indicate these on the cover letter. The documents they attach is enough to convey if they are financially capable to travel.
Anyways I've sent my employment letter & bank statements.
You don't need this if you say your visitors will handle all their expenses.
Should they also get their cover letter notarized.
No. The cover letter is optional.
Also please advise me whether they should provide Affidavit of Support.
If you say that your father and mother-in-law can cover for their expenses, you don't need this. On the Letter of Invitation you can state how your can support them like their accommodation or incurred expenses during their stay in Canada https://www.canada.ca/en/immigratio.../services/visit-canada/letter-invitation.html
