Hello all,

My friends visitor visa to Canada was refused. The reasons were:

The application was refused due to the applicant's lack of significant family ties outside Canada, inconsistent stated purpose for a temporary stay, and insufficient financial resources to support their travel. The assessment concluded that there is not enough assurance the applicant will leave Canada at the end of their authorized stay.

I am inviting the friend to come to Canada. I completed invitation letter. She showed she had about 5K in funds, to stay about 1 week.
On the financial documents that I attached, I attached my bank statement to which I wrote in the invitation letter that I would be responsible for all costs. Bank statement had about 45K in savings.

How can my friend improve the application so as to convince IRCC that they will staying for a short period of time? Any tips?

Thank you!

They don't take your word that you will responsible for all costs. The applicant must show their own evidence that they are sufficiently funded to travel to Canada. So, 5K was not enough. Probably need to show more. A single person usually much more difficult to get a visitor visa. Does she work? If so, her employment letter (depending how much she earn) might help to convince IRCC.
