Visitor visa for a friend

Hey,

One of my close mates was planning to hopefully come down in December from Illinois. Post the questionnaire, we were asked to fill out 5645E - Family Information. Is that required even though we are not family? I'm guessing it is just general family information but I want to ensure we are not accidentally filing as though I am his family member.

Form is for your friend to fill up about his/her family immediate members to show that he/she has got strong family ties back home and they will return at end of the visit. It has nothing to do with you as a friend.

As rightly explained above, That is a mandatory form which your friend needs to fill. Nothing to do with you !
