visitor visa extension

Hi there! I have a question regarding the status of my husband. He's the applicant and his 6 month stay here in Canada is over but we have submitted a visitor visa extension before his visa expired. We are still expecting to receive the response by September though. My question is...can we submit our inland spousal application this month even without the proof of his extension stay? My anxiety level is really high these days because of these forms...

Have you got a copy of the receipt you paid for the extension?

From my understanding, you can file your inland application while you are still waiting on your visitor visa extension. Once you file for your inland application, you assume implied status (so even if your extension is rejected, you are in the green). Hopefully, someone more knowledgable on here can confirm

Yeah...from Shoppers and even the one who received the form because I paid for an epost delivery.

you will be fine...it takes like 3 months to find out usually and we submitted an outland application while we were waiting for my husbands extension. he does have status, its implied until you hear back.
