My parents' visitor visa expires in September this year. My husband is working abroad, and I have a 6-year-old kid living with me. My parents are helping me look after my kid while I'm away at work. I'm very skeptical of what reason I should mention in the visitor visa extension application. The immigration consultant is asking me around CAD 1000 for the application, which I see as exaggerated. Could anyone please help me find a good reason for a visa extension? I appreciate your help.

You don’t need to pay a consultant or lawyer to submit a visitor record or a new TRV. Save the money and apply on your own. It is unclear if you are asking about extending their visit or applying for a new visa. When did they enter Canada and was there a date indicated on their passport? How much time have they spent visiting Canada in the past few years? Would your income and your spouse’s Canadian income (that would count towards LICO) qualify for a supervisa?

You are aware that’s considered illegal work ?

Hello, whats the situation on wait times? like IRCC says 315 days processing, can someone please confirm my mother's fate if:

1. Visa expires 2032 - multiple entry
2. landed Aug 5 2025, submitted (and received confirmation of receipt) Jan 7 2026
3. requested extension to stay, and leave Canada Jan 7 2027
4. if mom receives no decision then leaves Jan 2027, when is she able to come back again? is there a certain number of days you are maxed to stay in canada per time frame or calendar year? Can she come back say, Aug 2027 without any paperwork?

thanks!
