my mother needs to extend her travel visitor visa so she can stay longer than 6 months.

for proof of funds can i attach my bank statements?

Also would this affect her future visa applications?

She can try to extend her stay but she should include proof of her own funds. You can provide proof of your own savings as secondary information but visitors are supposed to be able to show that they have their own savings and that they have strong ties to their home country to show that they will return home. The amount of time spent in Canada can impact future applications.

I recently extended my mom’s and added my bank statements as well my husband’s 2 most recent pay stubs. The application was approved in 10days and she was given 1year extension.
