Visitor Visa Biometric 2nd time

My Biometric is valid till 2026. My passport is valid until 2024. in 2019 year, I got Canada Visitor Visa first time. It will expire next year. I would like to re-apply 2nd time to get longer validity as I renewed my passport. While applying second time Visitor Visa Category... can I pay biometrics fees again (even first Biometrics are still valid until 2026).. Does IRCC application has that option ? I learn that, biometric validity or Passport validity which ever is earlier, they give Visitor Visa until that time... Please advise? I would like to get Visitor Visa to Canada for longer validity as my passport is valid until 2034.

Yes, you can still pay the biometrics fee when applying for a second Canada Visitor Visa, even if your current biometrics are valid until 2026. IRCC will not ask you to give biometrics again if they are still valid, but paying the fee won’t hurt—if they don’t need new ones, they’ll refund it.
