Visitor Visa Application Timeline June 2026

No where mentioned that, IRCC has a separate policy of prioritizing applications based on whether they were submitted through GCKey or the IRCC Portal. Different visa offices can have different processing speeds. Btw, my application has already crossed 31 days, while the official processing time is showing only 20 days. That's absolutely hilarious to me.

• Application submitted: June 11, 2026 (child’ Canada Visitor Visa application)
• Biometrics: We do not need your fingerprints. We will send you a message if this changes.
• Current status: No updates received since submission (no ghost update yet)

Current posted processing time shows 20 days

Hi all
We finally received our PPR. Passport submitted at Delhi VFS on the same day. The tracker on the IRCC portal is still showing no progress bar. However, along with the PPR message we could see an update at top left saying, "Your application was approved. You need to send us your valid passport to finalize your application. Check your messages below for details."

Applied July 19 (from India) using previous biometrics for parents. (GC Key)
Received PPR only for one parent (mother) today. Does anyone know how long would it take for other parent (father’s) PPR?
I thought they would process together and send PPR’s together. Is that not the case these days?

Hi everyone,
Looking for some advice:
I am a PR and have been staying in Canada for close to 5 years now. I submitted the visitor visa application for my parents in October 2025. They completed their biometrics appointment in the same month. But since then, there have been no updates on the application. I have called the customer care multiple times - they raised an alert in April 2026 for it but no updates still. I have also raised multiple webforms on it.
Would welcome any suggestions on other measures I can take to get an update on the applications. I would truly appreciate any help.
