Visitor visa application for sibling

Hi,
Is it a good time to apply for a visitor visa for my sister and her daughter. They would be visiting me in the month of May 2021. I genuinely want to meet my sister for emotional support because I would not be able to travel back home next year. Are there any chances of visa getting rejected due to COVID? My sister's husband would not be able to travel so I am not applying for his visitor visa. The husband not travelling might serve as evidence that my sister and her daughter would return home.

You can apply but right now, your sister needs not only visa approval but written authorization due to covid to travel. Under current rules her daughter isn’t eligible to travel. Things may change by May. Also don’t know where you are from but visa processing can be months.

Not yet, because I want my sister's daughter to join her as she is just 3 years old. And right now it seems I can only apply visa for my sister.
