The purpose of the visit is for my graduation which is less than 30 days away. Reconsidering would take a while before file is reopened (if it will be reopened)

Thanks a lot. MPs cannot expedite visa process. His office gave a support letter in case we want to apply for a 3rd time

Thread 'Canadian vistor visa from Pakistan'

I applied visitor visa for my aunty on april 20,
I provided invitation letter, I am sponsoring her trip, provided my bank statement, I am canadian citizen,
also proof ties I attached property deed document translated by ontario firm,
my aunty is retried and post retirement she is working as Facilities manager,
I provided the HR letter from company she was working.
what are the chances of visa getting approved ?
I assured she will go back after the trip, I clearly outline date of trip and trip reason as I have new born baby.

Also got refused again for my husband’s visa. These stupid reasons are so vague and the mention of economic assets, we showed over $30k in liquid cash with an employment with Africa’s largest LNG plant. I’m genuinely baffled at this. Ties, ties, ties… Almost like I should leave Canada so my spouse can earn “2 weeks” visiting me for my graduation.. Done with this stupid process, just going to wait for PPR on PR.. I’m so frustrated!!

In your case, did your portal/account show eligibility in review at some time? Or you just got the refusal letter? Did your background check showed in progress at all ?

On gc key eligibility was in progress before we got the result. Background also just went to completion on the day we got the refusal

Nothing like that. Just the refusal letter

1 year old daughter TRV application submitted 12th Feb 2026, no updates.
traveling with her Mother who already has her TRV and visited Canada frequently in the past 10 years.

06th May 2026, Application refused. Temporary stay not consistent with bla bla bla....!!!
Gutted but life goes on! nothing to do....!! Good luck everyone else!

Hello! I applied for a TRV for my dad on March 19. The only update we received was basically an automatic one regarding biometrics, since his are still valid (it’s not his first visit to Canada). Since then, complete silence.
I’ve reached out to our MP to see if they can find out the reason for the delay. Is anyone else experiencing the same situation?

Probably 2-10 days. What did you applied ? Is your background check showing in progress or not ?
