Visitor visa after applying for spousal PR

Hello,

I applied for spousal PR application for my wife and its an outland application about a week ago.

can i now apply for visitor visa for my wife who wants to come and visit me for month?

Or do i have to wait longer till I receive an AOR for my spousal PR case?

Your wife's chances of getting approved for a visitor visa were better before sending a sponsorship application.

It doesn't mean it's impossible, many people still get it, but you need strong evidence and to show stronger ties for her back home than in Canada.

Agree with @DimT44. Now that you have sponsorship underway to get a TRV, your wife needs to prove that she is coming to Canada only to visit. She needs to show:

- ties to home country (job with employment letter, property, investments etc.)
- travel history to the UK, US, NZ or AUS
- funds (liquid funds)
- reasons to visit.

As soon as they got married a TRV got more difficult. Whether they applied for sponsorship has less to do with it. No harm trying for a TRV.
