visitor TRV inside canada?Need helppppp! :( plz replyyyy

where on earth do i send my application to get a trv , im living in ottawa n neee to travel back home pakistan nxt month for an emergency n im soo confused as to where do i send my passport, its been a week n still cant find the right visa office :s one person says sonething n another somethig elae..is it in states? or in ottawa? or somewhere else?? plzzz replyyy asap...:(

While in Canada, you can only apply to extend your stay. Once you leave Canada, you have to get a new TRV.

If you are Student or temporary Worker than you can apply for a TRV (to re-enter) by sending your application to Ottawa
 
used to be that if you had a permit to stay in canada for at least a year, you could apply for a TRV at the Buffalo office.

Not sure if that option is still available. I did that once with a study permit and got multiple entry TRV by applying to buffalo office.

On a side note, how is your travel emergency if its supposed to be next month?

If you are currently a temporary resident in Canada with valid status (that is, a valid study or work permit), you can now apply for a new temporary resident visa to return to Canada before you leave.

You can apply in Canada if you are:
•a legally admitted temporary resident (student or temporary foreign worker only) in Canada with a Canadian residential address;
•your current temporary resident status is still valid, and your existing counterfoil is expired and/or was valid for only one entry; and
•you require a new temporary resident visa to return to Canada in the near future.

thats only for students or work permit holders, not for those on a visitor visa
