Hi, I saw your application process. I'm wondering if you have received your stamped passport? I send my passport to VAC in NY and now the status is under consideration. I'm going to fly on 24th.... a little worried right now...

My passport is in New York now. I did not get any update. I am very very worried. My flight is on 27th. Please share your updates if you received your passport.
Yeah definitely will. I am hoping they would consider the fact that lots of people have travel plan during Christmas and speed up a little bit.....
Sill under consideration... has been in that status for four days. I only have 5 business days left before flying. Anyone knows if there is any way to contact? This is so frustrating. And if I don't want the visa anymore just want my passport back, how can I do?
My Canada transit visa stamping timeline:
I did not send my passport to VAC until a week after the passport request, so I just post the stamping process:
USPS show that passport delivered to VAC ------ Dec 4
Passport received by VAC ------ Dec 11
Passport received by Visa Office, Under consideration ------ Dec 11
CIC account shows application approved ------ Dec 18 (Yes a whole week for consideration)
Application complete, in transit to VAC -------- Dec 19
In transit from VAC to applicant ------- Dec 20
USPS shows return shipment accepted ------ Dec 20 at 7:15 pm
expected to get the passport on Dec 22

I applied for Canada transit visa, haven't heard anything back and my flight leaves today (27th Dec).
I called united airlines and told them about my situation. I don't know what happened there but they shifted me to another flight which goes through Newark and has 3 hour less connecting time. And they didn't charge me anything.
If someone else has not gotten their visa yet. Try calling them and ask to be shifted to another flight.
And if you are reading this before booking your ticket, don't book flight via Canada.
