hi, my dad is a spanish citizen and he is here in canada to visit us for about 6 months, and we are thinking if it is possible to him to get a working visa? thanks in advance!

If your father wishes to apply for a work visa, then he will first need to find an employer in Canada who is willing to offer him a job. That employer will then need to obtain an approved Labour Market Opinion (and has part of this process, prove they advertised the job and no qualified Canadia could be hired). If the LMO is approved, your father can then apply for a work permit.

There may be several other options available as well. Consider exploring family reunification program. (sponsorship) Depending on your family situation he may qualify.

I agree with the previous comment regarding finding a Canadian employer before he will be able to apply for a workpermit. Cannot be done without it.
