Visitor Record - Extension Question

Hello - We filed extension/visitor record for my parents to extend their stay beyond 6 months due to covid. They received a letter on Oct 20th that their application is approved bu they need to go through a medical exam within 30 days (no biometrics). However, they had already planned to go back on Nov 18th. Should they be going for a medical exam or can we request waiver / let IRCC know of this situation? Please advise.

They should complete the medical, either in Canada or in there home country to avoid issues in future visits.

Thank you. Since it will be a close call, how should I let IRCC know that they will complete the medical within 45 days instead of 30 days back in their home country?

Book an appointment (whereever they plan to do the test) and update IRCC via a webform with the information.
