So I was told that I would need to do a visitor extension, establish common law and then apply for PR with family sponsorship.

When filling out the form, where it says "purpose of visit" do I just write "to establish common law"?

Also! What should I call my boyfriend in the application? "Boyfriend" "significant other"

I'm sorry if these questions sound silly...

Which form? Which section which question?

another Question...

For the eligibility questions to apply online..

I plan on only trying to extend my stay until I can apply for PR. Should I say in these questions I plan to move here? Or should I say that I want to visit longer then 6 months...

Computer crashed and I lost the form and the question. I am re-doing my eligibility questions so I can apply online... but i'm feeling very lost in this whole process.

No, you should not say you are moving here. Visitors don't have the right to move here.

I am in a similar situation and would like to extend my parents visit beyond 6 months. Their visa is valid for 10 yrs. I was thinking of an option to cross the border to US and enter after 2 days. Does the clock for 6 months start again after their re-entry into Canada from US?
If not, what reasons can I give for a visitor stay extension beyond 6 months?
Please help.

Border runs are risky. Applying online for an extension is safer.

As for the reasons, well, why do you want them to stay? Why do they want to stay?
