Got my approval today for an extension to my visitor record!

Am I able to travel to the states with the visitor record? Boyfriend will be traveling with me, along with our kids?

I know it's always up to the border to decide, but what are the chances they will deny me entrance back to Canada after receiving approval to stay in Canada an extra year?

There is always a chance of this happening. It is clear you are not a genuine visitor and you are living under a "visitor" status.

I would assume you are waiting for sponsorship or other kind of PR? If so then you will most likely be accepted again, if not, hard to say.

Yes. We clearly wrote when applying for visitor status that we are applying for PR come September. We may get married before then. We just didn't want to seem suspicious. But honestly, it's so hard trying to 'prove' a genuine relationship when I go through life not thinking about keeping all my 'proof'. Haha

Anyways!

We will try it. Not going to get all stressed about it.

I am not that familar with the terms of visitor extensions but hopefully it doesnt imply it is same as a single entry visa that finishes when you leave the country.
