Visiting visa for mother !! November 2018

Hi, everyone one !
Need your suggestions:-

As We are expecting baby in coming couple of moths therefore I would like to apply a visiting visa for my mother, kindly guide me how can I apply for it my self online ?
Firstly:- can I apply on behalf her online ? And do I need to creat her CIC account? Or I can use my CIC account ?
Secondly :- what type of documents it may require ?
Third :- Do I need to buy an insurance for her ?

First - no. She must apply.

Third: purchasing insurance is a very good idea.

Important note: most visas for grandparents visiting newly born grandchildren are denied, because grandparents taking care of grandchildren is considered work, and unless you have permission to work in Canada, this is not an acceptable purpose of visit.

Find another reason for her to visit that isn't taking care of your new child.
