Your spouse can give an invitation letter to support your application

A letter of invitation does not guarantee you will be issued a visa. Visa officers assess you to decide whether you meet the terms of Canada's immigration law. A valid purpose, strong ties (job, assets, family) and financial capability to travel are keys to get a visitor visa.
Are all your family members in Canada? If so this might be a red flag, since your ties in Canada are strong that you might not be granted a visa. Even if you don't intend to there is an assumption that you might not leave since your wife and kids are there.
I'm not sure with your wife's status if she can sponsor you instead? Let's wait for the gurus to advise. At
