Hi all!
Is it true that CIC may refuse TRV extension request because PR is in process?

I have to go to USA soon for 3 days and my TRV has expired. I am going to apply for an extension to Buffalo.

Is there any chance that international students with expired TRV can re-enter CAnada?

Hi,

1. You (as an international student) visiting USA and re-entering Canada do NOT required to have a renewed TRV ONLY IF you already hold an expired single entry TRV to Canada and also, your trip originated in Canada. However, if the trip to USA originated outside Canada and you are (re)entering Canada from the US, you will be required to have a current/renewed TRV.

In case you decide to apply, I do not think they`ll reject it. I was in the same situation and got my TRV visa extended without any problems.
