visiting USA without PR

Hi. i would like to know if there will be no problems in going to USA even if we don't have the PR card yet though we have US VISAS?. Once we are in canada, hopefully in November, we will visit our relatives in USA and be back to canada after 3days. Are we still required to show our funds in coming back to canada? Your thoughts will highly be appreciated. Thank you and God bless.

Hi Albert,

Showing of proof of funds is just one time, i think (seniors please correct me if I am wrong). There should be no problem for you to enter the US as long as you bring with you all your travel documents.

My sister did the same thing. Although she waited for a year before she went out of Canada.. plus she cross the border and not through the airport customs..

visiting USA without PR

I have just landed in Toronto, Canada and was told by the immigration officer that it'll take 4- 6 weeks to get my PR card. My friend who immigrated last year got his card in just ten days but he landed in Vancouver. Can any one help me with i) the time line of PR card issuance in the state of Ontario/ and ii) Also, is there a possibility that I can take permission and leave the country and visit my siblings in USA without taking the PR?

Thanks zsashiimi.. what's the status now of your application? did you receive another letter?

Unfortunately, none yet.. But i'll still update my records/docs within the month.. I just need to make time (hirap paalam sa boss ng leave e)..
