I have submitted my eAPR and was wondering if I could apply for a visit visa and go to Canada to look for jobs while the PR is under process. Will this lead to a rejection in any of the visas?

It is not illegal to look for work while on a TRV, but it will raise concerns about yout true purpose.

Basically employers would want landed immigrants and would expect new hires to start in a two weeks notice. Therefore it doesn't make sense to come and look for a job... unless you are planning to work illegally or are planning to use the TRV as a "bridge" visa. Both scenarios would guarantee a refusal.

Be sure to make sense, state your purpose and do not do anything illegal.

I don't want to work illegally. Just thought if I could get to Canada earlier, travel, see the country and then start working only after landing as a PR. I don't want the TRV to jeopardise my PR.
