Hi all,
I applied for my mother in law's visitor visa which just got refused.
I got two letters from IRCC:
The first one says -- "I'am refusing your application.
• You have not provided sufficient documentation to support your or your host's income and assets."
The second one which is the Officer Decision Notes says -- "I have reviewed the application. The applicant has not submitted enough supporting documents to satisfy me that the applicant has access to sufficient funds for this visit. Weighing the factors in this application, I am not satisfied that the applicant will depart Canada at the end of the period authorized for their stay. For the reasons above, I have refused this application."
My wife is 6 months pregnant and its a high risk pregnancy and we applied for her mother to support during delivery time = in the invitation letter we wrote stay is of 3 months with all cost of this trip taken care by me and my wife.
I provided MIL's bank statement with just $5,000 (although me and wife will be supporting the costs). I provided my bank statements which has around +$15K funds. I provided "as at" balance certificate of my savings account which has +$100K funds. I provided employement verifciation letter. What i did not provide is pay slips and tax assessments. I think I should have provided a 6 months statement for the savings account too which I didnt.
My mother in law has dependent kids (less than 18 years of age) so obviously she won't leave them behind and stay in Canada. She is a housewife and my father in law is not that well off and does various businesses to run the househould.
Conisdering that the VO is only concered on the supporting documents - what is the suggestion when I reapply?
Thanks!
