Dear All,

I would require a suggestion from forum members. I like to invite my Mother-in-law for a visit to canada. but i dont have payslips yet but i can get employment letter as i'm going to join soon .I have my tax statement of 2013 my questions are

1. What is the minimum amount to show in the bank to get visit visa (in my account in canada)

2. Are payslips required ?. if so for how many months

3. Is only letter from employer would be enough?

4. Can my uncle (fathers brother) who is a canadian citizen can apply for visit visa of my mother-in-law

Regards
ram

1) You need to show an amount that would be logical for the amount of time that she is planning on staying.

2) Remember this is more about her an not your ability. You need to show her assets and ties to back home. A bank statement show regular deposits from your employer should be good enough.

3) You should add more show how she is going to support herself while she is here.

4) The person who should be sponsoring her is your spouse. A connection can be shown through birth certificate.

Thanks for the quick response

i will show assets and ties back home for her.

but since i am joining new and like to bring her immediately i dont have payslips or regular deposits from employer yet. but i have savings from overseas employment in bank can i show that statement

3) You should add more show how she is going to support herself while she is here.

can my savings from overseas transfered to local bank in canada would do the trick

4) The person who should be sponsoring her is your spouse. A connection can be shown through birth certificate.

CIC does not like to be big transfers of money into an account. They like to see regular payments eg a payment from where you work.

Just remember everything has to make sense. If they can't easily follow the trail then they will say no.
