My parents arrived in canada in October 2021. They planned to return in march 2022, and have a return ticket. We are now thinking of applying for extension. Can someone please help on how this can be done? What is the process?

I had applied for their visa through an agent. Should i go to the agent for the visa extension? Or can I create a new account in cic and enter details?

My parents came on 28 October 2021 and they dont have any stamp for entry. They are on multiple entry visa. They are due to leave on 28th April 2022.

1 ) I want to ask if I can apply for extension now as they have completed 3 months now ?

2)Since people are getting delayed response after 6 months or so ,can they stay beyond due date to leave Canada until they get extension ?

3) Do they have to do medical to get extension ?

1) It's too early. Wait until you only have a few weeks left before the end of their allowed six month visit.
2) Yes, as long as they submit their extension before their six month stay expires, they will be able to stay in Canada until they hear a decision under implied status.
3) IRCC will let you know if a medical is required after you apply.

If you know for sure your parents intend to stay beyond April, apply for the extension as soon as you can. Your parents will have implied status if April comes before there is a decision. But they won't have to wait too long.
